Fees

- $170.00 / 1 hour assessment session (first session prior to beginning treatment)
- $130.00 / 45 minute treatment session (most common)
- $110.00 / 30 minute treatment session (when 45 minutes is too long)
- $150.00 / 1 hour treatment session (when longer sessions are needed or preferred)

E-transfer payment due the same day as the session.
- Credit cards are not accepted.

Services provided by a CASLPO registered speech-language pathologist are covered by many Extended Health Benefits plans, up to a specified amount.
It is recommended that you contact your benefits provider to find out if you have coverage, the amount of coverage, and if you require a doctor's note, prior to beginning services.
A receipt will be provided after payment is received, for you to submit to your provider for reimbursement.

The first session involves a brief assessment.
An assessment is required, to determine if treatment sessions are needed, and to develop a treatment plan, including goals and recommendations, that guide therapy sessions.
In some cases, a more thorough assessment may be needed, which would extend into additional sessions but would be discussed with you prior.
If you have had an assessment completed recently by another SLP, this can be provided to us before the first session.
We will then discuss the assessment information with you during the first session and start trialing treatment activities sooner.
A brief assessment report may be provided at an additional cost.
If a formal report is needed, report writing time is billed per hour. The cost depends on the length and complexity of the report.
Collaboration with other professionals involved is welcomed. Brief phone calls, to share information, are encouraged.

Completing assessment and treatment sessions in a person's everyday environment (like their home), allows them to be more comfortable throughout the process.
It allows them to learn and practice new skills with their SLP, in the same space they will need to use those skills during everyday conversations.
It is important for parents and/or caregivers to be involved in the process, and observe the first few sessions to assist the client with working toward their goals.
We place a big focus on educating, training, and empowering caregivers to feel confident in knowing how to encourage the client throughout everyday life to use their communication skills optimally.
Every person is different and so are their communication needs.
There is no set number or frequency of sessions required.
We work with you to develop a customized treatment plan. Our goal, is to ensure we help our client’s ability to communicate grow.
